Ella Fitzgerald

Known as the 'Queen of Jazz', and 'Lady Ella', was one of the only Bebop jazz vocalist with a vocal range spanning three octaves. Here she is in 1968 with the Tee Carson Trio in Germany.

Charlie Bird

Parker was known as 'Yardbird' and 'Bird'. In this video he is playing a jam during the Charlie Parker Sessions which ran from 1940 to 1955 across the country.

Natalie Cole

Natalie is a nine-time Grammy winner whose R&B style is based on the old Bebop sound. The daughter of Nat King Cole, Cole sings her famous duet with her dad "Unforgettable".

Nina Simone

An American singer, pianist, and civil rights activist widely associated with jazz music, Simone was a musician across range of styles including classical, jazz, blues, folk, R&B, gospel, and pop.
